The Letterman Digital Arts Center is conceived as a campus set within a great urban park, that is reflective of its surroundings, appropriately situated in its site, open to the public and respectful of its historic legacy. The development will be a place for artists, technicians, crafts people and engineers, researchers and business people forming a community of thinkers and doers who would technologically develop and help integrate into our lives the promise of a digital future.
The project will feature: sustainable design, sensitivity to the landmark status of the National Park, views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts and the Bay, cafe and coffee bar open to the public, advanced technology, running creek and a lagoon, network of paths connecting the campus to surrounding neighborhoods.
